B.Sc., Ph.D.
He was born in 1974 in Patras Greece. He studied Applied Biochemistry at the University of Liverpool, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. In 2004, he earned his Ph.D. at the University of Patras, Medical School, Department of Microbiology, in the field of Immunology-Microbiology. Currently he finishes his M.Sc. thesis at the Open University of Greece School of Social Sciences Department of Health Management.
From 2004 - today he is teaching as an Appointed Lecturer at: 1) the University of Patras, Department of Pharmacy, Lab of Molecular Biology and Immunology and at 2) the Technological Educational Institution of Patras at the Departments of i) Optics & Optometry and ii) Physiotherapy.
His main research work is in the fields of immunology (host defense) and neuroimmunology (autoimmune disorder with emphasis on myasthenia gravis). Other research interests include biochemistry, molecular biology, characterization of proteins, DNA cloning and very recently pharmacogenomics. His research efforts has produced more than 30 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and international meetings and conferences.
